Procedure Templates

General Information

The following templates are provided to assist investigators in writing animal protocols. The templates meet the requirements of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and applicable federal guidelines. Each template consists of a purpose statement, general guidelines for the procedure, the template section and a list of references. The template section is designed to be cut and pasted into new animal protocol submissions. Investigators should carefully study the background information before writing their protocol. It is the responsibility of the principal investigator to ensure that personnel performing experimental procedures adhere to the procedures as written in the final version of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Protocol Form.
